Resumo
Mauricio Parra é Professor Doutor no Instituto de Geociências da Universidade de São Paulo (IGc-USP) e Docente nos programas de Pós-Graduação em Geoquímica e Geotectônica no IGc-USP e em Energia no Instituto de Energia e Ambiente da mesma univesidade (IEE-USP). Possui graduação em Geologia pela Universidade Nacional da Colômbia-Bogotá (2000) e doutorado em Geociências pela Universitaet Potsdam, Alemanha (2009). Entre 2009 e 2010 foi Pesquisador de Pós-Doutorado na Jackson School of Geociences da Universidade de Texas em Austin (EUA) e entre 2010 e 2014 Pesquisador e Consultor Científico do Instituto Colombiano do Petróleo (ICP-Ecopetrol). - É bolsista Jovem Pesquisador (FAPESP) no IGC e IEE-USP, responsável pela instalação e coordenação do Laboratório de Termocronologia de Baixa Temperatura . Tem experiência na área de Geotectônica, com ênfase em Termocronologia e Análise de Bacias Sedimentares, atuando principalmente no estudo de orogênese ativa.
